I was about to put a down payment on a contract with another, larger, installer in the area and figured it would be great to get a quote from an owner/operator business. In my experience, O/O businesses tend to stand by their work better and offer more fair pricing. Compared to the quotes I got from 3 other larger installers, St. Joseph was thousands less. With the generous state rebates, the bigger installers are happy to charge as much as possible to turn those rebates, meant for the customer, into pure profit (crooks!). St. Joseph was on site within 2 weeks to do the install. The bigger guys were booking 1-2 months out. St. Joseph worked with me to move my condenser locations and answered all my questions. My installation was for 2 3-ton Bosch IDS heat pumps to replace 20+ year old AC units. I did all the paperwork for the rebate but wish I had St. Joseph done it instead since it wasn't the most straight forward process.
